In the Utilitarianist philosophy, what makes an action right is the ultimate result of the action with the reasons of the action weighing far less in the overall judgement. Utilitarianism is an (Jones, 2010) " ethical position of the consequentialist view that proposes that the moral worth of any action is judged according to its overall utility in providing resolutions, happiness, use or pleasure to man and his concerns." If the utilitarian view proposes that the justification of an action is its overall effect which is 'the greatest good', then it would seem that justice ought to be a moral effect of a utilitarian action.
