    A)Calcium ions and nitrate ions
    Calcium ion is Ca2+
    Nitrate ion is NO3-
    Therefore, the chemical formed by the two ions is
    Ca(NO3)2

    B)Magnesium ions and iodide ions
    Magnesium ion is Mg2+
    Iodide ion is I-.
    To balance the two positive charges in Mg2+, we need to have 2 I-. the chemical is called magnesium iodide, and its formula is MgI2
