Leading computing manufacturers like Dell are taking a serious relook at India and exploring the "real potential" of this market, so that it can reap maximum benefits in this very attractive and fast growing market and thus, mitigate the impact of slowing US sales.

Infact, Dell is so serious about India that it is implementing extensive indirect sales approach, unlike its approach in other countries which is more direct sales oriented, primarily to target the growing small and medium size businesses and individual buyers in India. It shows Dell's ability to modify its strategy as per the peculiar requirements of the Indian markets.

Although HP also has a very strong presence in India, it can learn from Dell's example and can modify its existing strategy and take a serious relook at it to expand its presence in this vast country and thus, establish market leadership in the country.
