Propose Research Project
You are a brand manager of a snack chip. Your goal is to determine what effects different levels of online advertising (see http://www.sramanamitra.com/2011/01/11/top-10-online-advertising-trends-of-the-decade/) have on a consumer's behavior. The VP of Brand Management will want strong justification for your recommendations. Propose a research project to address this problem that focuses on the kind of research design you would use; why you would use it; and how you would conduct the research.
The paper must be two to three pages in length and formatted according to APA style. You must use at least two scholarly resources other than the textbook to support your claims and sub-claims.
I am posting an outline for you to follow for a research proposal. There may be other needs as per your class lectures and notes, so please look at it carefully and include any other information. Additionally, please add your own knowledge and experience in the proposal. This makes the paper your own and allows you to convey how you would specifically approach the problem.
Developing Research Proposals Handout

This is a handout I often give to students when I expect them to provide a research proposal for a course project. That is, it's intended for fairly brief proposals, not a prospectus for a masters or doctoral thesis.
It gives students an example of the sort of thing I want, plus some commentary (in italics) about what I'm expecting in each section. I sometimes change the particular example given, in order to encourage them to think about particular kinds of projects. For instance, the example provided here was used in a Leadership Communication course. I've used the same format, but a different research project example, for a course on Organisational Communication Technology.
Feel free to adapt it to your purposes.
