Yes, every organization has cultural values and has them incorporated into their policy documents. As head of the MIS Department in three major organizations, distributing the cultural values and policy documents were the primary responsibility of our department. Human Resources would create the physical documents and MIS had to distribute to the entire company electronically with a proof of opening the file.
These values were the ethical and moral standards that the organization lived by and expected the employees to abide by. It explained how to behave when dealing with internal or external personnel, when making decisions, when working in general with everyone, and in how the employee is to conduct him or herself.
