Corporate culture is the personality of the organization. Just like values and attitudes are part of individual personality, likewise values, attitudes towards operations, and customer relations are part of the personality (aka corporate culture) of the organization. The corporate culture is shaped in a variety of ways. It is shaped through the leader, or should be, through vision and mission statements, objectives and value statements. Further, values are written into codes of conducts or codes of ethics, which are intended to guide all behavior. In this way, and through the "selective" hiring, selection and orientation of "new" employees to align with the values of the organization, the corporate culture can be considered the collective beliefs, value systems, and processes that direct the organization in a unique way. In other words, just like every individual has a unique personality that has some commonalities to all human beings, so does an organization have a personality that is unique to the organization realized through its unique set of values and goals that are the defining point of the organization and which creates the corporate culture (Heskett & Sasser, 2008). In fact, this is why corporation culture must be assessed in terms of its impact on their current functioning. Are corporate values aligned with our goals to meet our overall mission of our corporation? Are the company's customers satisfied and do they remain loyal to our corporation? Are employees satisfied and are they as productive as they could be? Does our values reflect the corporations social responsibility to meet the needs of the customers and community with respect the products and protecting the environment?
