Another term which you may have heard that also relates to this concept is TQM. What is TQM?

TQM means total quality management. It is the notion that the entire company has a goal of quality, from the CEO to the line workers, from marketing to the janitor - everyone is committed to providing quality work.
It is defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO):
