I need help with this group project. We have decided to do Wine Distributor as the business and the target market is middle to upper class.

I agree that we should go with the wine distributor idea since there has been no other suggestions. As far as the target audience, I think we need to target:

- male and female adults (not necessarily over 21 as the legal drinking age in other countries may not be the same as the US)

- middle to upper class (as wine drinking is seen as more of a status drink than a "party" drink)

- current wine drinkers and those with wine making/tasting interests (i.e. subscribers to wine connoisseur type publications)

As noted above, we have chosen to be in the business of Wine Distribution. The appropriate target market for this business will be selected on different market segmentation criteria.

On the basis of demographic criteria, we will segment our target market on the basis of income and education levels. Since we will be catering to mostly upper and upper middle class for our wines, the people coming in the higher income brackets will be our target markets.
