Leadership Self Assessment
Self Confidence: Leadership has its foundation which is laid on confidence. Without confidence a leader would not be able to make decisions and commit to decisions. On the basis of self assessments I am average in terms of self confidence. There are situations where I can confidently handle everything while there are other situations also where I tremble and am apprehensive on committing myself. Others perceive this behavior of mine as lack of passion whereas this is not true. It is confidence which pulls me back from handling complex situations and taking them as challenge. I have realized that to build my confidence:
• I have to increase my belief in myself.
• I have to stop analyzing too much and try to give in my best to every task I take on hand.
• I have to learn to live with the failure, learn from them and move on
• I have to learn to find happiness in everything I do

To further enhance my score I would evaluate hindrances I face in handling tasks and seek which skills and styles would help in overcoming those.

I first assess the situation and adapt my leadership style to the situation. With this approach I am able to apply different styles to different situations and in the process acquire many new skills. To improve upon situational leadership approach I have to learn to make myself aware of the situation thoroughly before hasting into a solution. It has in few cases led to wrong decision making which resulted in additional ...
