Develop a staffing plan for a credit card organization in, or one with which you are familiar. Determine how many people you need to hire and in what functional areas (manufacturing, operations, customer service, distribution, marketing, finance/ accounting). Develop strategies to recruit the appropriate applicants.
Be sure to include a discussion of how the strategy is legally compliant. Use the reading assignments, interviews with your HR representatives or staff persons, Web site articles, Electronic Reserve Reading (ERR) articles, and HR journal articles to support your position. Use at least two text references.


Organize the solution in terms of an introduction, body, and summary/conclusion.

The Human Resources Department of an organization holds a lot of significance and human beings are considered the most important asset of an organization. There are different functions in an organization like marketing, accounting, human resources, manufacturing, operations, etc. and each function needs to have efficient and the right employees in order to ensure that the business processes and operations become highly effectual (Messmer, 1999). This requires the framing of an appropriate staffing plan and even working on the details such as the number of people that need to be hired in various functions, and developing the strategies for recruitment purpose that are in compliance with the legal system of the country.

Here, the chosen organization would be a restaurant chain, and we need to decide on the important constituents of a staffing plan, such as the functional distribution of people in the organization, deciding upon the strategies to be used for their recruitment and checking the selected strategies for their legal compliance. In the restaurant, all the functions are uniquely significant just as they are in any other business sector, but a special emphasis definitely is on the customer service. This is the determining factor that will have a direct influence on whether the people will love to be back in the restaurant again. Moreover, if the people working in the restaurant chain are confident of the quality of products they serve and the services they provide, they will market their products and would like to associate themselves with their brand.
