The areas where FedEx must consider focusing on for future consideration include its global employee network in regard to human resources, its transportation fleet including aircraft, trucks for both long-hauls and delivery, and finally it must focus on engagement in technology demands that place the safety and health of its employees at the forefront of its operations for the future. With over 75,000 global drivers and tens of thousands of vehicles driven every day of the year, the safety of its drivers and any liability issues is a major ongoing concern. Therefore, Human Resources must ensure that it focuses on accident prevention; with drivers provided support for defensive driving and other programs that protect employees health while giving them rewards for high-quality health and safety marks while working.

Therefore, the primary areas that must be addressed by the Human Resources Management team at FedEx include health and safety, staffing, and labor relations with its vast networks of employees. Human resources is responsible for ensuring that the highest quality talent is hired as well as retained by the company. In addition, employee training, employee maintenance, and employee engagement must be monitored and continuously improved by the HR department. Some of the options available to HR for ensuring that they remain engaged with their employees include facilitating and promoting an open environment culture wherein communication flows freely between employees and senior management.
