The decision-making process in an organization is the most important step in achieving success. The organization that Nik works for is seriously considering expanding its business on to the island of Kava. The organizational culture is one where the company takes "giving back to the community" very seriously. In the scenario Nik will face challenges in the decision-making process and throughout critical thinking will play an intricate role in the organizational processes, ethics, and human resources divisions.
One of the first assignments Nik was faced with was to travel the paradise island of Kava to work with Alex. When Nik travels to the once thought paradise island she finds the conditions are not good. Nik learns that island of Kava is faced with social problems, and ongoing economic problems. With this new information Nik will have to use the critical thinking process and relate it to her decision-making. Nik will now have to find innovative ways to turn this desolate island into a business success for her organization.
