Expected growth: 5 %(Last 5years actual sales increase have been 14.5%), but in last years sales have declined 2% and therefore a realistic figure of 5% has been taken, which is likely to be achievable in mature Industry segment. Company is improving productivity of Research work and number of drugs coming at approval stage is in record numbers. By all above efforts coupled with its strategy to concentrate on core business and strengthen though mergers, acquisitions, alliances, divestments and licensing it is likely to achieve it in long run. Seeing the result of first quarter for 2006(Sales have declined by 4% in first quarter as following illustration from company site) whole year it level is being predicted. The trend is going to be reversed in later half of the year because of predicted sales pick up of newly introduced drugs and easing of exchange value of US Dollar.
