Behavior refers to the actions or reactions of an individual in relation to the environment. It is controlled by the nervous system and it can be conscious or unconscious, voluntary or involuntary. People's behavior may be common or unusual. It may also be acceptable or unacceptable but the latter is regulated by various social control ways which adjust behavior. A human's behavior is influenced by a number of factors and this is where diversity takes place.
Diversity refers to the differences in people's qualities and they refer to the differences in age, gender, ethnicity, physical abilities or qualities, educational background, sexual orientation, income, marital status, geographic location, religion, work experiences, and others. It is important because without diversity, the world would be a dull place to live and it would have failed by now. Diversity allows for second opinions, differing views and ways of thinking, dissimilar reactions and responses. People express their own opinions while others listen to them and realize that they have not thought of those ideas and it makes them realize and learn something new.
