//As we all know that the use of internet is continuously increasing and most of the people are using and getting benefits from it. Internet has several advantages and disadvantages.

Internet is a hub of networks. It is a network of networks which exchange data by packet switching using the Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP). This network includes millions of public, private, business and government networks of local to global scope that are linked by copper wires, fiber-optic cables, wireless connections, and other technologies. The Internet includes a wide array of information resources and services, such as electronic mail, online chat, file sharing, online gaming, and the inter-linked hypertext documents and other resources of the World Wide Web (WWW).

Internet is used to explain a single global TCP/IP network, which was created in December 1974 with the publication of RFC 675. Later, there were various actions taken to improve the protocols and to put them into practice on a wide range of operating systems. The first TCP/IP-based wide-area network came in operations from January 1, 1983.

The basic submissions and guiding principles, which make the Internet possible, have been in the existence for the last nine years. An early admired web browser, which was available in the market, is Viola and it is supported by HyperCard. It was finally substituted in its popularity by the Mosaic web browser. The first version of Mosaic was released in 1993 by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois. In late 1994 these different versions started gaining public interest. From 1996, the usage of Internet increased by common people and consequently, it came to be known as World Wide Web. In the meantime, over the track of the decade, the Internet effectively accommodated the bulk of formerly accessible public computer networks.
