What are some of conflict management approaches? What are the differences between direct and indirect conflict management approaches? How do ethical considerations determine which approach is best for a given conflict situation?

Some of the conflict management approaches include processes like collective bargaining, conciliation or the use of techniques like mediation, arbitration and negotiation. In case of collective bargaining, the approach is to use pre-decided mechanisms for the group of people what may be adversaries. The most common example is that of management and workers. The process of using the mechanism is called collective bargaining.( Mayer R1995),.
Another approach to conflict management is that of conciliation. In case of conciliation the objective is to develop good will. In this the groups that are in conflict are brought together so that they can reach an agreement. The purpose is that bring the conflicting partners together so that the differences are settled. In several types of clubs, association, groups or even in workplace conciliation process is helpful (Condliffe, P. 1991). In case of conciliation there is a need for a facilitator.
