In the first part of this exercise, download the files from the Census Bureau. You will create a short presentation for the Marketing department highlighting how the consumers in the 60614 zip code differ from those in the Total US.
Note: I have provided you with all of the Census Bureau's info in the three attachments.
Create a graph that compares the categories from each file. Create a 3-5 slide presentation with in-depth speaker notes that displays the graph(s) and analysis on how the 60614 categories you chose differ from the national profile.
Refer to the U.S. Census Bureau Reports (I have attached file name US Census Bureau Report). This file contains reports generated from AMA's (American Marketing Association) website. AMA's website provides free demographical services where one can choose from a variety of criteria and generate reports based on the U.S. Census data. This particular file contains 4 reports: Census Overview, Census Employment, Census Trend, Census Population Detail based on the entire U.S.

Part II
In the second part of the assignment, based on your research, you are to provide your advice as to possible business venture to pursue in zip code 60614 for scenario 1 or 2.
Use the the population data on the community in question (I have attached the file with this information under "population summary"). This particular file contains 4 reports: Census Overview, Census Employment, Census Trend, and Census Population Detail based on the U.S. zip code 60614. Research the Internet and your course materials for any additional data and resources to help you reach this recommendation. Document any assumptions or elaborations you had to make in the speaker's notes. Apply the standard of APA Style to all research and writing tasks for the course.
Scenario 1:
The academic affairs committee wants a recommendation on what new degree program should be pursued for the 60614 community.
Scenario 2:
The development company wants to know which type of businesses the stores should be leased to in the new 5-store strip mall in the 60614 community.
Be sure to include supporting documentation and references using APA 5th edition.

Part I:
You will want to compare the two geographies, placing them side by side on each slide. In the attached slide, I illustrate the differences in income levels and housing. The first two graphs are taken straight from the data provided. The third graph (far right) takes the data and looks at rent and mortgage spending as a proportion of income (I divided the median income for each geography by 12 to get the monthly median income, and then divided the rent and mortgage for each geography.) This way, you not only show the data presented, but present a more robust analysis by showing the impact of housing costs on income (and therefore, how much income might be available for discretionary purchasing). You will want to add some information to the speaker notes that is directly relevant to this comparison, if you choose to use it.
You can create additional graphs to illustrate differences between the two geographies on additional slides. Keep the following in mind:
