The President's Council on Training and Development for Corporations believes that the quality of training and development provided to the employees of US corporations should be excellent so that the management and workers of US Corporations realize their full potential and become world leaders in business and trade. Essentially, the President's Council on Training and Development for Corporations believes that the US will move to leadership position in every field of business through training.
When employees are trained in the US Corporations they get knowledge, skills and attitudes that they will apply to job situations. There will be new confidence in the employees. The employees will be able to see their own achievement because of training and will be more motivated. Needless to say, that the productivity of US Corporations and their competitiveness will increase. Training will reduce the need for supervision in US Corporations and pull down the cost of production. The trained US employee will be more competent and perform his assigned task better. Directly, training and development programs will build the skills of the US employees. At the same time training will create a positive feeling in the employees. Training and development will create team spirit by making employees believe they can take up challenging tasks. With training and development, US Corporations will not only have the most skilled employees in the world but will also have employees that understand how the corporation grows, its strategies, effectiveness and competitive advantages. Training is important because it will not only build knowledge but will also produce better performance.
