The company sales force expansion program can be completed effectively with the use of diverse data collection techniques that are as follows:
• Records tracking: This data collection technique is a system that ensures that one can locate records when he or she needs to use them. Through this technique a firm can do accurate recording and have knowledge of its all paper records. Management of records is essential for locating information quickly and efficiently (Halliday, 2005). With the help of this data collection technique all roles and responsibilities of different organizations position can be identified easily. It can be used by anyone in a firm on behalf of others.
• Assessment centres: An assessment centre is ordinarily an all day event or may be longer which constitutes part of the final stages of a company's recruitment process. With the use of this data collection technique, employers can easily identify how an employee execute and perform in diverse job situations. As well, it also assists in devising different activities to test employees in various ways (What are assessment centres, n.d.). The various activities that can be used in this technique are second interview, opportunity to meet with recent graduate recruits, in-tray exercise, aptitude or psychometric tests, diagrammatic reasoning tests, group exercises, presentations, group discussion etc.
• Assessment instruments: Assessment instruments include different kind of instruments that are used to assess the potential of employees and their abilities to perform some specific tasks and roles. The cost of using this technique is high and due to this most of the organizations don't use it.
