China banned a Nike television commercial featuring U.S. basketball star LeBron James, who was shown in a video game styled setting defeating a cartoon Kung Fu master and a pair of dragons.

Consider the issue of cultural differences due to foreign manager in Japan not accustom to expressing ideas or expectations of feedback by brainstorming ideas. The advertising agency manager is accustomed to his / her own cultural norms and expectations for immediate participate through feedback of brainstorming. Keep in mind, the cultural element in communication is quite different in other culture where position, poise, manners, and presentation weigh heavy on the receiver to either response or not to respond. Management should always consider the audience receiver core preferences in communication delivery, in which, the speaker must adjust expectations upfront. Some key attributes in preventing any miscommunication during interactions with an international / global audience as follow:
a) Gestures within an audience culturally different than the speaker gives off the incorrect expression of thought and purpose (try and think hand motions as not as polite as eye contact).
b) Language barriers that limits clear intent in expressing the words or phrases to facilitate a long-term commitment of enriching the relationship.
c) A Lack of knowledge of formal greetings can restrict progress for achieving success with the recipient of such message (try and think of case example of Japanese that hones on formal greetings from bowing to nodding at particular times throughout the interaction with others).
d) Eye contact is essential that presents direct or indirect during the interchange of speaker and receiver and vice versa (try and think of the essence of respect between the two groups either aiming for comprise or disengage of the proceeding due to disrespectful of inappropriateness in cultural deliverance).
e) The audience is not attuned to foreign presentation and style of communicating or sharing information pertinent to the tasks at hand (try and think of management approach in delivery that in some cases the aloof those ...
