I am unable to locate any information on a Dr. Sherrington.

Dr./Sir Charles Sherrington was a British neurophysiologist. He won the Nobel Prize for medicine in 1932. Some of the neurological concepts that he discovered and studied include: proprioception, the function of the synapse, reflexes, and neuronal control of posture.
