The nervous system controls voluntary and involuntary functions. Anything from respiration and modulating digestion, to voluntary muscular movements to run, or to make decisions such as picking out a shirt. It has many divisions, but in general it comprises of the brain, spinal cord and associated nerves from these two areas. Nerves run to all areas of the human body, influencing and in some cases, directly controlling various functions.
The digestive system comprises of everything from your mouth, down to the esophagus, the stomach, includes the liver, gallbladder and pancreas, continuing into the small and large intestines.
