Diversity in the workplace often times refer to the notion of multiculturalism, of ethnic diversity. Our society is made up of a variety of ethnicities, of people coming from a host of cultures. Our society is also divided according to gender, age and belief systems. One of the key tenets of management, that of control and human resource pertains to recognizing the skills and abilities as well as flaws of employees or an organization's membership in order to manage them efficiently for the purpose of achieving a certain level of productivity.
