What are some of the common elements for sacred places such as Mecca in Saudi Arabia, the place of Muslim pilgrimage, and the Holy Land where Jesus lived, and is the place where many Christians choose to visit holy sites. What elements do these sites share in common?

Sacred sites are sacred for a reason. They were not in most cases chosen on a whim by religious leaders of long ago. They are deemed sacred by their followers because of historical or mythical events that occurred at those sites. By making pilgrimages to these sites, modern day followers are tied to the sacred history of the religion or belief system they adhere to.

Select a secular organization of your choice

I am on a team and we are to select a secular organization of our choice, ex: a town, nation or a corporation in which we are to explain: 1. how one to three of its locations function as sacred places. 2. explain what elements mythic sacred places have in common. 3. how they function in their culture. 4. Illustrate your analysis of your chosen contmeporary secular place by comparing to at least one other sacred place taken from a traditional myth. 5. Introduction, conclusion, editing.

My main concerns are #2, 3, & 5
