The biggest problem for our business is the changes in the economy and how people are hiring and funding the government. As people get laid off, they do not have the income to pay house payments and such and are losing their homes, which means losses in taxes. Also, people are not buying as much and therefore sales taxes are down.

For our business, working with developmental disabilities, this has cut the budgets in all the agencies and made the government look at how they fund some things. In the case of one agency, they cut the pay for the caregivers by a third, which in effect put a number of businesses out of business and left those living independently and their families, scrambling for caregivers and companions.
