Your task for this assignment is to design an experiment to test whether the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program is effective at reducing drug use (the program's stated goal). Your write-up must include:
1) A description of the DARE program and why it is an important object of study (2-3 paragraphs). Use government and/or academic peer-reviewed sources to explain the program and its importance. Cite your work.
2) A description of the type of experiment you will be using (1-2 paragraphs).
3) An application of the experiment you chose to test the DARE program specifically (2-3 paragraphs). Include here things like the variables to be tested (identify the independent, dependent, and control variables), how the population is going to be divided for testing, whether a random design will be used, etc.
4) An explanation for why you chose this type of experiment. It will be helpful to state why this type was chosen over other options (1-2 paragraphs).
5) A discussion of validity and reliability issues as these relate to your experiment (1-2 paragraphs)
6) A discussion of the feasibility of your experiment (1-2 paragraphs). Is it realistic to implement? Why or why not?
