What are the similarities and differences between organizational psychology, organizational behavior, and industrial/organizational psychology?

Organizational psychology and organizational behavior are very similar. Organizational psychology is the study of behavior within the organizations setting while organizational behavior also includes the interface between the organization and members of the organizational as well as within the organization. Organizational behavior is studied on the individual level and macro-level such as the structure and processes. Organizational psychology studies more of the psychology of an organization as a whole instead of the bits and pieces (individuals) that make up the organization. Organizational behavior draws on a more broad scope of knowledge compared to organizational psychology. These fields can include economics, sociology, anthropology, labor relations, general psychology, and many others (Jex & Britt, 2008).
