CBT aims to address unhelpful, negative, and dysfunctional cognitive (thoughts, thinking, beliefs, attitudes), affective (moods, feelings) processes to lead behaviors and habits towards healthful changes and maintain them to avert on going relapses and prevent them from occurring in future.
