As you name and briefly describe two of the many possible explanations for people's aggression and hatred, the social-cognitive, information-processing models of aggression seem plausible to me. These approaches assume that and how we process and deal with information during our social problem solving encounters deal with triggers in how our emotions and cognitions intersect and interaction, which makes perfect sense to me. They also infer that human memory plays a role in the acts of anger and aggression, which again I see as viable.
