Select five well-known historical individuals (living or deceased) to illustrate the two extremes of the Big Five Model dimensions. Develop a chart that presents where the individual falls for each of the Big Five traits. Then, summarize using examples of the individual's behavior that supports your analysis.

For example, President Bill Clinton would score high in extraversion because he seems to draw energy from being surrounded by people while, President Barack Obama would score low because he seems to surround himself with a few trusted friends and family to re-energize.

*The following five persons are described based on their personality

(1) Extraversion varies with components such as warmth and sociability. According to Personality researchers (e.g., Friedman, 2005) Thus, differences in higher-order personality dimensions, and lower-order aspects of certain traits may reveal additional effects. For instance, views characterize Oprah Winfrey's behavior as confident, and self-assured, particularly regarding her business pursuits. On the other hand, research indicates that social influences have powerful influences in the shaping of one's self- concept (Klenke, 2002). As he points out,, Oprah did not believe that "being poor, Black, and overweight, and female could prevent her from pursuing her dream". However, while she displays sociability and warmth toward others, Oprah admits to struggling with her image because of her weight. Thus, she will be highly extraverted because of her sociability, warm and communicative ability. Her drive to overcome her shortcomings will rate her low on openness due to a lack of intolerance and intellectual curiosity.
