In philosophy, logic is known as the study of reasoning. The most applied logical reasoning methods are induction and deduction although there are a few others that are also utilised in the study of what constitutes good arguments (i.e. analogical reasoning that links 2 particulars to arrive at the truth and abductive reasoning where incomplete observations lead to likely explanations).
