Chose some ethical issue you feel is important (abortion, gun control, climate change, eating meat, anything that can be considered a moral matter).
Present research on the situation being sure to clearly discuss both sides, as much as possible. Some conundrums will have much more weight on one side than the other such as climate change.

Title: Is Mercy killing/Assisted Suicide Moral and Ethical?

Text:
Mercy Killing or euthanasia and physician assisted suicide (Brazier, 2018) "refer to deliberate action taken with the intention of ending a life, in order to relieve persistent suffering." The topic of euthanasia and assisted suicide has been a source of passionate debates that support or conflict with it. Laws vary between countries; while it is illegal in most, bearing with the act a jail sentence and related penalties, there are countries where it is legal and allowed as in the countries of Belgium, Luxembourg, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, the Netherlands and Colombia (Linares, 2021). There is a distinction between euthanasia and assisted suicide. In the former, a "doctor is allowed by law to end a person's life by a painless means, as long as the patient and their family agree," (Brazier, 2018) while in the latter, a doctor assists a patient to commit suicide if the patient chooses to do it. Euthanasia can be voluntary when conducted with consent but it can also be non-voluntary when the person is unable to give it (as in the case of patients who have been in a coma for years and are brain dead), with their legal representatives making the decision on their behalf.
