P.S: In these types of questions our formula is y-y1 = m(x-x1) where m is the slope, x1= -1 and y1= -7 are the coordinates of that point. The formula you used y-y1 = (x-x1) is not correct; this is why you didn't get the correct results. Briefly:
y-y1 = m (x-x1)
y-(-7) = (-6) ...
