The most pressing transnational crimes currently being committed across the globe are human trafficking and sex trafficking or slavery. There are countless cases that are evident within the research but the most high profile cases are those involving large organized crime syndicates that operate in Eastern Europe. These groups traffic Eastern European women to many countries throughout the world and enslave these women into sex slavery.
