Currently, an extra-legal system is used in Cuba for suspected terrorists wherein they are detained, interrogated, and prosecuted outside the established laws based on the United States Constitution. This constitution has bestowed within the Courts the responsibility of protecting democracy by ensuring due process and fair trials for those accused of criminal offenses. These rights haven't been afforded to "enemy combatants" in Cuba as they have been subjected to specialized tribunals that are governed by different sets of rules and procedures that run counter to the United States ...
