    Vitamin A Deficiency is a massive health issue in the united states and around the world. Imagine that you are giving a talk to a group of wealthy donors who are trying to figure out how to spend a $50 million grant. Your job is two-fold:

    1. Briefly explain to them what vitamin A is, where its found, and what it does to the body. be sure to include beta-carotend in your explanation.

    2. Propose a program to help eliminate vitamin A deficiencies in two places: one is a tiny rual town in Oklahoma, and the other is a small village in Tibet where all the residents are vegetarian. you may not include supplements in your plan

    You may ask why I am so passionate about vitamin A. It is because vitamin A has an important role in vision, bone growth, reproduction, and the immune system, (which helps fight off infections). It promotes healthy surface linings of the eyes and the respiratory, urinary, and intestinal tracts, and can help the skin and mucous membrane to act as a barrier to other harmful organism. As you can see Vitamin A can help the individual to be healthy.

    When we don't intake enough Vitamin A, we are prone to many diseases and conditions. For example children and adults can become blind. In fact night blindness is the first sign of vitamin A deficiency. Children and adults with vitamin A deficiency can have recurrent respiratory infections and diarrheas. Because vitamin A is a fat soluble compound any diseases that cause fat mal absorption like celiac disease, Chron's and pancreating disorders can also increase loosing vitamin A.
