As you compare nursing theories and nursing models, they seem to both embrace the value of strong foundations and frameworks underlying what nurses believe, how they act, etc.
Research defines a Nursing theory as "the body of knowledge that is used to support nursing practice" (http://currentnursing.com/nursing_theory/introduction.html).
