    A barrier that should be identified with falls in a hospital setting when implementing quality improvement could possibly be the necessity of mopping hospital floors by staff members and or patients who are moving about. This could be a barrier in implementing a safety quality improvement due to the fact that the hospital could reduce the number of falls due to slipping on wet floors if this mopping wasn't necessary, but it is often necessary to mop hospital floors during busy times of the day, especially when there is an emergency such as blood on the floor.
