The first thing that comes to mind is teen pregnancy, with regard to social change and health assessment. In the late 80's there was a peak in teenage pregnancy rates and there are a range of reasons. Featured in the Centers for Disease Control database on the topic highlights the issue saying, "In 1990, teenage pregnancy rates in 10 states could not be calculated because 10 states did not collect data on the age of women obtaining abortions.
