Let's take a closer look.
1. Describe five health issues we might face over the next 20 years, and provide solutions to those problems.
1). Obesity is on the rise in both adults and children and is expected to continue. Obesity is "defined as a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater. BMI is calculated from a person's weight and height and provides a reasonable indicator of body fatness and weight categories that may lead to health problems. " (http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/trends.html#State)
For example, one solution was Healthy 2010:
"Healthy People 2010 identified overweight and obesity as 1 of 10 leading health indicators and called for a reduction in the proportion of children and adolescents who are overweight or obese,9 but the United States has made little progress toward the target goal." (http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/childhood/prevalence.html)
2). Increased chronic diseases i.e. cardiovascular disease, certain types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes (some related to obesity and increasing age of the population) in the next twenty years(see trends by State 1985-2008 at http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/trends.html#State). Obesity is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease, certain types of cancer, and type 2 diabetes" ...
This job embodies health issues we might face over the next 20 years.
