SPECIFIC PURPOSE: This speech, "Technological Taunting: The Severity of Cyberbullying Upon Youths and Young Adults in America," urges listeners to understand the problem of cyberbullying and to prevent its outbreak by knowing the signs and related statistics.

THESIS/CENTRAL IDEA: Because cases of cyberbullying are increasing based on the number of technological devices and users, it is vital to know the signs of this type of harassment, the dangers posed, and how to prevent cyberbullying to yourself and loved ones.

INTRODUCTION

ATTENTION GETTER: How many of you have heard the news story about the tragic death of Rutgers freshman, Tyler Clementi? Only eighteen years old, Tyler committed suicide from the George Washington Bridge on Sept. 22, three days after his roommate and his friend used a webcam to watching him have sex with another man.
