Three important rules of writing

Over the last 4 months I have learned several new rules when it comes to my writing technique. I have successfully used these new skills in my previous classes and am currently using them in my everyday environment.

There are four important rules I am currently using to help me better myself when preparing a paper. They are: Do not abbrev- you should always avoid abbreviating when completing an assignment because you never want the person on the other end to assume you mean one thing when the abbreviation means another it is good practice to always spell the word out. , Avoid using contractions or slang comments or words- This could be interpreted the wrong way. Here again you should always try avoid using contraction and never use slang, not every one know slang and you should never assume the do. Use correct grammar and punctuations- You should always practice using the correct grammar and punctuations with everything you do. Lastly, properly cite my assignments and or outside sources provided- This is a very important rule, one that I'm still working on. You must always properly cite the research that someone else has prepared letting your reader know this is not your words but the words from someone else. If this is not cite correctly you could get yourself in big trouble for trying to take credit for someone else work.

I plan to avoid using abbreviation and contractions when completing my assignments. I will have someone review my final draft before submitting it to the board. I will also cite all research complete by myself. These rules are tools I plan to use in my everyday environment; this will help me better myself when preparing assignments in my future classes.
