Many writers have the most trouble finding what to say and how much to say to support a position, but a surprising amount of students will reach a new threshold they find hard to cross once they do--a threshold they did not anticipate: closing the essay well. This can be likened to chess, in that you might have the best possible strategy up until the End Game, but without a specific End Game strategy, all your intelligence and hard work will at-best lead to a stalemate.
