There are so many ways to use technology in educational research. I actually took a course on this last year and went searching for my notes. The main thing I looked at was the Horizon Report from 2011 from the New Media Consortium. Here is a link to it but you will have to have access to a library system to make it work I believe (such as logging in through your college if you are in college), http://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED515956.pdf or http://www.eric.ed.gov/contentdelivery/servlet/ERICServlet?accno=ED515956 (I will also attempt to attach a copy). Now the Horizon Report looks at how technology can be used in all aspects of education. They have identified six technologies that are on the rise as great thing to incorporate into the education world. The six technologies are (and examples of each, the links to them are in the Horizon Report)...
