Physiotherapy (physical therapy) is a healthcare profession that gives treatment to people to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. It includes treatment where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury or disease. Special physical education is physical education which may be adapted or modified to address the individual needs of children who have developmental delays.
