I have taught for 12 years now and would have to say that I have considered parents when developing my assessments. However, parents do not impact the content of the assessment so much as the nature of the assessment. In other words by knowing the parents of my students I am able to determine whether my students are getting help at home or not. I have taught in rural Tennessee, suburban Wisconsin and two international schools in Brazil (6 years) and now in Thailand (1 year). ...
