In the doctoral demeanor there are several changes you need to make to move from passive thinking to active and engaged inquiry. In a doctoral demeanor a person has to be an active thinker, and exert your mind. The study pattern must be varied. You must go to classes, read books, work with others, do exercises, and review your own work. Changing over to active and engaged inquiry means that during doctoral demeanor you must explain your ideas to others, rethink ideas, and received inputs from others. You can move to active inquiry by doing exercises together and helping each other when stuck. Developing a varied study pattern helps build an active and engaged enquiry.
