The theoretical underpinnings of your plan

The theoretical underpinnings of the plan are predicated upon the desire to not "target" or single out children suffering from behavior problems within the classroom. The most effective way to ensure that children can be monitored and recorded without being singled out in the classroom is through the use of direct observation and recording of behavior because these types of alternatives are less susceptible to biasing. Therefore, using recording such as interval recording, frequency recording, duration recording, and direct observation will allow the behavior of the child to be documented objectively. The use of recording techniques to ascertain the best data on the child's behavior will serve as the theoretical framework for my plan.

Which behavior theory fits the child's learned behavior, and why?

The behavior theory that best fits the child's behavior since his behavior isn't LEARNED but is a disability, is sensory processing disorder. This behavior theory directly relates Mark's behavior to how his neurological system takes in, organizes, and makes sense of the input of information being received. Mark's processing isn't working properly, which causes the dysfunction that is present in the form of his behavior problems that are being displayed in the classroom.

The target behavior

The target behaviors that the plan will be focusing on in regard to accumulating data to ascertain how frequently, the length of duration, and intervals of disruptive behavior being displayed by Mark are noise, out-of-place, and off-task remarks made by the student. These are the most disruptive behaviors displayed by Mark and are causing him to lose focus in the classroom, cause disruption to other children in the classroom, and impact the learning of others as well as himself.

What is the behavior you are looking to modify, and why?

The behavior that ...
