These questions are brainstormed:
As you brainstorm strategies, activities, and materials that are most effective for teaching health, safety, and physical education to young children along the developmental continuum, please allow my ideas to help:
First, you might offer manipulative skills activity to enhance motor skills. Activities such as bean bag tossing, ball throwing, catching, kicking, and rolling help to augment these skills. The use of props such as balloons, balls, hoops, bean bags, and other tools help to engage these learners. Additionally, you might add movement skills such as skipping, galloping, running, jumping to also practice locomotor skills.
Using a parachute for building locomotor skills is also cool. There is also a great game called The Turkey Trot to incorporate history and PE.
Ideas about forming PE and Health Education lesson plans are given.
