There are many ways to differentiate your instruction in order to include students with special needs, and you should always consider specific needs of the individual students when designing your curriculum and learning strategies. Here are a few guidelines to use when creating a profile for your students (you may wish to ask for the cooperation of a special education teacher):
1. Review strengths, abilities, disabilities, and special education concerns.
2. Think about your perceptions of the student's learning preferences.
